The Parish of Corio-Norlane
To know Christ and to make Him known.
A Brief history
St Andrew's was built in 1998 with a maritime theme and it is shaped like the bow of a ship, check it out on Google maps. The church accommodates about 150 people and has unusually good acoustics because of its shape.
The founding congregation came from the amalgamation of three other local Anglican churches,
the Church of the Nativity - Corio, St Silas - North Geelong and St Michael’s - Norlane.
Cherished objects from the original church's are still to be seen in St Andrew’s, including the altar, the lectern, bishop’s chair and all the other sanctuary furniture. Above the altar hangs a three-layered cross that was assembled from the three crosses from the original church’s, each were made of different timber:
Weekly Services: Sunday Holy Communion 10.00am
Karen Service 2.00pm
Wednesday Holy Communion 9.30am
Last Sunday of the month: Prayer, Praise and Worship 7.00pm
Focus on music and song.
